Task -4 : Agile Methodology
Write a blog on below question.
Q1. Describe the Differences in between:
- Smoke & Sanity testing
| Smoke Testing | Sanity Testing |
| *Shallow level testing | Deep level testing |
| *It is a Build verification testing where testing is done to check if required functionalities for that build are working or not so that testing will be performed on it by testing team. | Testing is performed to check if there are no defects in the product before giving to the customer |
| *The testing is done to check of the application is stable enough to proceed with further testing so that it can perform basic functions without crashing | Subset of Regression Testing |
- Validation & Verification:
| Validation | Verification |
| *Process of checking towards the end product as per user’s or customer’s needs or requirements | Continuous process of making sure the product is build in a correct way |
| *Involves Functional Testing, Usability Testing, Acceptance Testing | Making sure the product is designed and developed as per the specified requirements which involves checking the code and documents in every stage of the development process |
Q2. Explain about Agile Methodology:
Agile Methodology:
*Agile is a framework in the software development process where it provides timely and early delivery of the product to meet the customer needs and satisfaction.
*It is based on Iterative Incremental model to receive frequent feedback from customer
*It focuses on working software than the process/document
*Chooses face to face communication over process/document for real time feedback
*Accepts change in the requirements and work towards improving the progress
Q3. Explain about EPIC and User stories
EPIC:
*EPIC is the brief explanation of the task we are going to do.
*EPIC is a defined body of work segmented into smaller specific tasks called user stories
*EPIC is the parent or collection of multiple user stories.
User Story:
*It is a smallest piece of work in agile framework
*It is an end goal expressed from the software user’s perspective
Eg) As a user , I should be able to successfully login with valid username and password so that I can shop the items from the website.
